Noah Cameron VS Carsten Mackilop
That is the hardest part when you step into the ring the first time. It's being able to remember what you are taught. Not going to lie, I'm bias and I want my guys to win, but Noah took the loss well.
Grace: Album Photography
The shoot was for a Christian album that Hadley and Michelle made. I'm more spiritual than religious. I listened to a song to get a feel of the album. Spirituality resonated in the song for me so I followed that feeling.
Bring them In: Sleep Out Event
This shoot was important to me, emotionally. I relied on my skills as a journalist to capture these images, but the nice thing about this event was that I wasn't in a rush.
Last Fight Before Shut Down
Josh has a background in Muay Thai. This is important because when Muay Thai fighters, fight it's not about just hitting and winning. It's about the art of the fight.
2020 Muay Thai Tournament
I think these might honestly be my best photos I've taken when it comes to fight photography in general. I got the beat of the fight and fighters so my timing was better. The most important part of these fights was the idea of 'brotherhood'. I tried to capture that the most when taking these photos.
Before the Pandemic: Favorite Training Photos
I loved taking photos after my own workout because it was fun. I like action shots. I'm sure this just comes from how I worked in news. There's always a story.
Jordon’s Fight: 2020
He was also the only fighter that I needed to focus on. I didn't have to time myself to make sure I got everyone's getting ready photos, etc. Also Jordon's fight was the the climax of the tournament. This meant a lot of waiting and weirdly, relaxing.
Second House Project: Stephen’s College
My job was to get the behind the scenes of Tony working. He did a commercial for Stephen's College. This commercial was shot in 48 hours. I mostly played with the idea of 'mirroring' and creation in these photos.
Photojournalism: 2019 Reign Fighting Championship
Photographing these fights also triggered my adrenalin. I edited some photos on my phone so I could get the photos out faster. It triggered news speed for me.

Phoenix protests after President Trump’s speech, Trump supporters describe the scene
I love this live shot. I think it was the last to second live shot of the night. We couldn't plan it. We went with the flow and Jenny did a good job explaining the situations. I learned a lot that night. Even if it was one of the weirdest political events I've covered.
Call to action after more than fifty lives lost due to car crashes in Tucson
Tucson is known for natural beauty, wild west history, but it also the state is also known for having poor drivers.
Local business taking steps to stop spread of flu virus
It's hard to take the flu seriously in Arizona because of the heat, but it was beginning to be big enough where parents started to worry. Here's how one local business decided to comfort family's concerns.

The Grid – Southside Part 1
The Grid was a show on the Chicago Sun-Times's website where Ji explored different parts of Chicago. This mostly focused on food and what to do in the area.
