Project Description

This shoot happened in October of last year if I remember correctly. I got invited last minute by a fighter who knew people running the Sleep Out event. The event was to bring awareness for homelessness in the area. Members of the community came together and slept on the sidewalk, holding signs with an important message, and feeding one another.

This shoot was important to me, emotionally. I relied on my skills as a journalist to capture these images, but the nice thing about this event was that I wasn’t in a rush. I stayed and talked to people.
